Alias: Schuldig, Mastermind
Age: 23
Date of Birth: Unknown
Blood Type: Unknown

Likes:
The three members of Schwarz (Crawford because he saved him from Estet, Nagi because he tends to have a soft spot for the younger boy, and Farfarello because he's the only one who doesn't project his thoughts on to him, and therefore one of the few people he enjoys having conversations with.), silence, putting other creatures through pain and torment, very very sweet things or anything high in glucose (needs the extra sugar to burn, to create the excess energy he requires to use his telepathy), cats.

Dislikes:
Hospitals, doctors, crowded places (due to the overwhelming rush of thoughts), vegetables, people being rude to or disrespecting Crawford, being out of control/drunk.

Favorite Food:
Anything high in sugar. However, Schuldig never eats in large amounts. He eats very small amounts of food throughout the day, for medical reasons which will be explained in the History section.

Hated Food:
Vegetables are really his only hated food, not only for the taste, but because of the lack of empty carbohydrates and glucose.

Favorite Subject:
Learning to control his psychic powers - anything to block out the dizzing drone of voices in his head. Also enjoyed learning how to kill with his mind.

Hated Subject:
Business training. Schuldig doesn't have a whole lot of patience for things that take time and subtlety. Schuldig is a very blunt, forward person.

Organization:
SS.

Personality:
Schuldig is a very controlling person. He loves being in control, controlling others, and the environment around him. In fact, the only person he really defers to is Crawford. He hates being drunk or high because it leaves him out of control and unable to block the voices from his head. Schuldig doesn't have much of a personality all the time, because his brain has become so used to integrating itself with other peoples' thoughts that he has become much like a mirror: he only reflects what other people are feeling, and tends to be deadened and dull when no one is around to supply him with emotion.

This lack of apparent personality is also due to the large, cancerous mass in his frontal lobe that causes his psychic powers. The frontal lobe is the location for the majority of ones personality traits, including behaviors, pet peeves, reactions, and likes/dislikes. Which Schuldig's frontal lobe does exist, most of it has been inactive since birth - since one doesn't require the frontal lobe to survive [lobotomy patients have the connection from their frontal lobe and the rest of the brain severed, causing them to be dull, calm and emotionless, yet has no effect on their motor skills, thought processes, or sensory inputs.] Schuldig's brain functions in an otherwise normal way.

When he is around other people, he often picks up their personality traits, as the tumor picks up these thoughts and emotions and supliments them for the reactions usually performed by the frontal lobe. The parts of the lobe that have not been killed by the tumor give him the basic personality traits named above - control freak, malicious, enjoys causing suffering.

Appearance:
Schuldig is almost as tall as Crawford, but not quite. He's a little taller than Farfie, and much taller than Nagi. If I had to estimate, I'd place him at just around 6 ft, maybe a little taller. He has a long, lanky, slender body, with oddly rounded hips for a male. He's not very physically strong, though he is fit. His physical abilities include his unnatural speed and agility. Again, this relates back to the tumor. The motor strips of the brain are located in the parietal lobes. The tumor effects the motor skills such that it increases Schuldig reflexes many times over.

Schuldig has long, unruly red hair, much more like an animal's fierce mane than a humans tamable hair. He has dark green eyes, and more deeply tanned skin than the rest of Schwarz. He usually wears a green blazer that hugs his oddly curvy form, with flared sleeves around the wrists. Beneath this, he wears a (very tight 0o;;) short sleeved white shirt and long, loose white pants. On assassination gigs, he usually wears black, as well as a black tie that he uses to cover his very bright hair.

Body language wise, he's a very slouchy person. He's often seen leaning against walls, looking very laid back and calm (think someone on high doses of valium). He usually walks around with his hands in his pockets, always looking like he's in on a joke that no one else is...and in a way, he is.

Family/Friends:
Schwarz is Schuldig's real family. Having been born in eastern Berlin in the middle of the Cold War, Schuldig's early life with his blood family was very very short, and was taken by Estet at the age of three. Now an adult, Schuldig looks back on his blood family with distain - they were weak and easily killed, and they aren't the type he'd like to associate himself with. Crawford has raised him since about the age of twelve, and Schuldig considers the man to be the only real family he's ever known, even though he'd be loathe to admit it. Crawford brought him out of Estet, so the German sees him as a savior - Schuldig hates authority, but when Crawford freed him, Schuldig agreed inside of himself that this would be the one man he'd be loyal to and obey - and he's kept that promise for eleven years now.

Nagi, who joined Schwarz when Schuldig was 18, was only ten when he came to live with Crawford and Schuldig. Despite his general distaste for human beings other than Crawford, Schuldig bonded with the small, skittish boy like one would a brother - despite their quarrelling and bickering, they have a genuine trust and like for one another, and in many ways, Schuldig helped to raise the boy.

Farfarello came last, when Schuldig was 20. Farfarello has less of a family feel, thusly, and Schuldig considers the mad man to be a good friend. Farfarello, unlike rational human beings, says what he's thinking, and therefore has few conflicts in his thoughts, save for the deeply buried memories of his past. For this reason, it's easy for Schuldig to be around the Irishman without getting a headache or beginning to mirror his personality - Schuldig can be empty and hollow around Farfarello without being alone, which is a rare pleasantry for the German.

History:
Schuldig was born in eastern Berlin, during the Cold War. His father was killed before he was born trying to rush the fence seperating the two halves of the city. His mother took care of him for the first three years of his life, along with his three older siblings. His psychic talents began almost immediately after birth, but since it took him two years to learn to fully talk/walk and such, no one really noticed it, until he began to comment on peoples thoughts. His mother feared this, but her instincts still guided her to love and protect the boy, but soon enough Estet found out about him, and killed his mother and siblings. As he was only three at the time and had never expressed any kind of love or equal emotion of his own, this incident didn't seem to bother Schuldig other than the very loud retort of the gun going off right next to his ear - this cause perminant, almost complete hearing loss in his left ear and partial perminant hearing loss in his right (this irony is much akin to Crawford, who can see the future clearly, but needs glasses in order to see the present; Schuldig can hear others thoughts with ease, but needs a hearing aid in order to hear their words).

Instead of being taken to a Estet training school, Schuldig was taken to one of the labs owned by Estet. Even Estet was effected by the Iron Curtain, and was essentially cut off from its eastern side. Unbenounced to the leaders of Estet, the eastern European Estet had formed not only schools, but labs for discovering the origin of psychic powers. These labs were formed in hopes of finding the cause of psychic powers and then being able to create more, or stronger psychics. Unfortunately though, most of these labs were underpaid and had crude supplies, and the "doctors" were hardly certifiable. Rather than making any significant discoveries, the labs managed to torture and kill thousands of psychic children before being shut down in 1985 after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Schuldig was removed from the labs by Crawford only a few years before this, managing to survive nine years within the sunless concrete walls.

During these nine years, Schuldig was used in various experiments performed in the lab, but survived them all. Luckily, the boy managed to avoid the fatal experiments that usually involved opening the skull and studying the brain. Most of this was achieved by his very powerful telepathic abilities. Using them, even unconsciously, he was able to learn how to make people's eyes slide over him - not as though he were invisible, but as though they'd see him and just pass him off, rather than fetch him out of the cells. It was in this rather dank world that Schuldig learned most the cruelty he so enjoys now. One might pity the boy, who was raped/abused/tortured in the inhumane environment of the post-WWII Germans, still suffering from the poverty they were left in after the war two decades later, but Schuldig is not a pitiable character. When he was old enough and strong enough to, he took his own turn in torturing the younger prisoners. He turned from victim to becoming the victimizer, and more than one innocent died at his hands, usually in the most violent ways.

When he was twelve, he was bought from the labs by an American named Bradley Crawford. Schuldig specifically remembers Crawford reaching down into his cell and telling him "I've come to take you away from here." In this way, Crawford became like a savior to Schuldig, and he promised himself he'd always be loyal to, and obey this one man, and no other.

Since then, Schuldig has travelled the world as a member of Schwarz. He honed his talents to serve Crawford, and became a weapon for the American to wield. This doesn't mean Schuldig just capitulates to Crawford, but rather, works with him as man and sword might - in concert, almost always understanding the needs of the other without speaking. Though not as bonded with the other two, Schuldig also has a certain affection for Nagi and Farfarello, and no others. Everyone else, in Schuldig's mind, are just lambs for the slaughter. He sees the rest of humanity as merely worthless animals.

As a finishing note, like the rest of Schwarz, and unlike Weiß, Schuldig feels no angst about his past. While he does hate hospitals and doctors, Schuldig embraces his past, feeling it makes him stronger.

Talent/Weapon:
Schuldig's main ability is his telepathy. In this field Schuldig is almost unmatchable. In the five classes of telepaths, Schuldig is one of the few class five telepaths in the world, but unfortunately, this sets him up for a very short life. About 1% of the world's population is a class one telepath, very occationally say odd things or picking up random thoughts, but not on purpose. Most of these people act normal and are undetectable. They live an almost normal live span, and their powers never really used. Class five telepaths have a much larger malignant tumor in their brain, giving them extremely powerful psychic abilities, however, the tumor begins to deprive the brain of oxygen sometime before the age of 30, and the telepath descends into a catatonic state usually for the rest of their life. Schuldig has exhibited no signs of deterioration yet, and at the age of 23, this makes him one of the older class five telepaths.

Physically speaking, Schuldig is unnaturally fast, and very agile. He is fit, but not incredibly strong. He rarely feels the need to use his body in battle, so doesn't work it that much. If he does fight physically, his weapons of choice are his hand gun and the machete that Crawford gave to him when he took him out of Estet. His biggest weakness is his limited hearing. If someone is mentally shielded, he has difficulty hearing them approach. Even able to hear their thoughts, he can't tell how near/far they are from him, and thus usually keeps his back to a wall, so he can always see who might be coming at him.
