Name: Naore Inoue
Alias: Tisiphone
Age: 16
Date of Birth: January 20
Blood Type: AB

Likes:
Cats are cool, as are kids. But she’s never had a pet, instead she got stuck with three younger siblings. She seems to understand the child mind from raising her sisters and brother and gets along very well with them. Or perhaps it’s that she dislikes adults more than she does kids… in any case. Tennis is her favorite sport, and convenient since it calls upon several of the same skills as the art of Naginata. ...She likes Naginata too. She loves a challenge... but only a challenge that she can do well. Although she wouldn't regard herself as being such, she is a very technical person and likes to solve problems herself. Mathematics and computers come naturally to her.

Dislikes:
She dislikes loud noises and the things that cause them; birds, thunderstorms and crying babies are high on her list. She tries to stay away from large crowds, as the numerous auras hurt her eyes and make her lightheaded. During busy days at the Paper Fan, it's not uncommon for her to go missing periodically, either to get some fresh air outside or to hide for a few minutes in the break room.

Favorite Food:
Strawberries. She’s a fan of sweets and carbohydrates for the energy they provide. Most any type of fruit is high on her list.

Hated Food:
Sea urchin. There are a few certain sea organisms that should never be used as food in any circumstance. Sea urchin is one of them.

Favorite Subject:
Believe it or not, Algebra. It had to be one of the easiest courses Naore had ever taken; all you do is substitute numbers for letters. Naore was a fan of any class that was an easy A but made her look smart.

Hated Subject:
History. She hates any class that requires a lot of textbook reading and studying in order to pass.

Organization:
Versenkbar.

Personality:
She's a perfectionist. Naore is hard on everyone, and prone to criticizing and nagging. She's equally hard on herself and hates to make mistakes or show her weak side. Unfortunately, perfectionist personalities seem to work against a person. Naore has low self-esteem and can’t see herself in a good light. She even considers her aura color very ugly. Though she tries to be nice, it makes her feel better to look at someone and think, "Heh, I can do a better job at that than they’re doing."

Naore is naturally quiet and dislikes a lot of social interaction. With people she doesn’t know, she’ll tend to keep her distance. She's much more tolerant of people she knows—even friendly. She's very sensitive, always wary of criticism, and surprisingly openminded. She'll try to help out with others' problems if asked, but she rarely talks about herself.

She's happiest with a task that she can do well. She's a hard worker, but becomes fretful if she messes up on a job. She doesn't like to leave things incomplete and tries her best at everything, just as much for her own personal satisfaction as everyone else's.

Appearance:
Naore's of average build and 5'5". Her skin is slightly pale and she is very thin, but still in the healthy category. Her arm, leg and torso muscles are well toned from years of tennis playing, and her greatest strength is in her upper body. Her long hair is normally kept in a ponytail and is jet black, a sharp contrast to the bright jade of her eyes. Overall, she has a very plain appearance.

Naore tries to keep her wardrobe conservative and low-key. She avoids skirts and dresses like the plague, and anything else she wears conceals a great deal of skin. She owns several pieces of men's clothing, such as polo shirts, flannels and golf-plackers. Her jackets are also worn big, normally falling to her thighs and the sleeves concealing her hands. Unlike her tops, her bottoms are normally bought in her size; khakis and jeans are her most common wear. Of shoes, she won't wear anything past sneakers, and owns four pairs.

On "business", Naore dresses for concealment and easy movement. She covers up from the neck down and most often wears black frictionless pants for stealth purposes. She wears a hoodie or jacket over her shirt. A dark-colored belt holds her weapons for easy reach. And if she can help it, she prefers skid free sneakers to her normal tennis shoes.

Family/Friends:
Not many people know of Naore's relatives because she does not discuss them often. Her family is small; her father died a few years ago and her household doesn't keep in touch with other relatives.

Naore's mother is named Tokiko Watanabe, a thirty-six year old office lady. She conceived Naore out of wedlock, and married just three weeks before she was born. Although she takes good care of her children, her relationship with Naore is very strained. They argue constantly because they are too much alike, but Tokiko has different ideals than her daughter.

Naore is the oldest of four children. Maeko is eleven and of very sensitive personality. Michio, the next oldest, is nine years old and very active. Taeko, the youngest at seven, shares the same sign as Maeko and also seems to share the same personality. However, Naore finds that she gets along with Maeko better than her youngest sister.

Naore has a precious few friends at school, but she easily spends more time with her coworkers than anyone. Outside of her family, Versenkbar has probably come the closest to knowing Naore's true personality. Having to trust her life in their hands while on the job has made it much easier to trust them on a social level, though Naore still works hard to impress so she'll be seen as a competent equal. Despite his height, Naore regards Miki as really cool... though she'd never tell him that. She never has anything to say around him because she can never think of anything impressive or amusing enough. Nicholas, however, is very easy to mock, especially since teasing gets him so riled up. Despite her sarcastic approach to him, however, Naore likes him well enough and treats him like an older brother. Sturm's quirkiness is amusing, and he's one of the more easier boys to get along with. However, Naore can't help but think of him as a dorky gaijin because of his love for anime. But, Naore is probably closest to Aya and Kai, perhaps because they're closer in age and easier to relate to.

History:
The little girl that Tokiko Inoue gave birth to in Keio University Hospital one cold January morning had been unexpected, and equally unwanted. Though Tokiko and her husband Michio were pleased, the child had been conceived out of wedlock; in Tokiko's family, it was a very embarrassing event. Tokiko and Michio had married a few months after in an attempt to correct the mistake, but that wasn't enough to save face in front of her religious family. The Watanabe were furious, and when they came to christen the child, they gave her a vengeful name. Naore: disgrace. Tokiko reacted with anger of her own, and she severed all contact with her parents.

Tokiko was very protective of her daughter… perhaps, a little over protective. As Naore grew older, Tokiko became much more watchful of her, as if she feared the girl would sprout wings and take flight if she wasn’t watched close enough. Tokiko was very strict, but there was no denying that she was a good mother. Naore was well provided for and lived a rather happy, and oblivious life. But at the age of five, the young girl had become aware of a developing flaw in her eye sight. She could literally see colors surrounding people and animals, and sometimes objects. In fear of her mother's reaction, she never spoke of it; simply learned to live with it.

Tokiko made more babies with her husband, but her husband was around less frequently. Quite often Tokiko was alone in caring for their young children, save Naore's helping wherever she could. Her father was never a dominant figure in her life and so his absence was barely noticed by her. Tokiko, however, was enduring more stress and frustration. She was becoming angry, and afraid of what this imperfect life would bring her. She began taking her stress out on the one thing she could possibly have to blame. Tokiko became much more watchful of Naore, and very critical. She kept Naore indoors most of the time and never seemed proud of anything she did, always demanding better behavior and higher grades. Naore noticed sometimes that when her mother looked at her, it was with a remorseful, bitter expression. To deal with the sudden change, Naore learned to build a protective mask that shielded her from her mother's rage. And soon, she learned to use this mask out in the real world, as well.

At the age of thirteen, this mask was put to the test. Just before the start of Naore's freshman year at high school, Michio was found dead. The family didn't mourn, though Naore could see the change of aura caused by her mother's emotions. She didn't feel sadness, or anger... but dread. This made Naore anxious, and for a while, the tension between them eased as the two withdrew into their own fragile worlds. While at home babysitting her siblings while her mother worked, Naore noticed suspicious auras just outside their home. They didn't belong to anyone she knew, and they had a strange glow that made her tense. Instead of waiting for them to come to her door, she greeted them head on. Indeed, the strangers were surprised, and just as suspicious as their auras had indicated. To humor her, they told her their reasons for visiting. Their father had owed them a debt, but killed himself rather than paid it off. Still wanting their payment, they would come to his family and take it from them.

Naore had acted before it even registered in her brain what she had done; offered that she would work off the debt rather than let her mother take it. It seemed like the perfect solution to her. Their family was struggling as it was, and she knew Tokiko would never be able to handle another bill. If Naore could save them from this debt, perhaps she could give her mother something to be proud of.

The debt collectors were assassins belonging to a group called Versenkbar. Once her contract had been signed, one of them confessed that they had actually come with intentions of killing the family if the debt could not be paid. Naore's boldness had actually saved the lives of her siblings and mother. On the surface it seemed that Naore had taken on a part time job at a local coffee shop, but Tokiko was oblivious to the type of disgrace she had tried to protect her daughter from for so long. Versenkbar learned of her ability to "see through walls", and she learned from them how to be a killer.

Talent:
Though invisible to normal people, Naore can see the aura colors that surround living beings. She often identifies people by their aura, rather than their physical features. Normally this aura is regulated by the heat the object gives off; when warm, the aura is at its highest visibility, but when cold, virtually no color can be detected (dead bodies have very transclucent auras). Most auras can also be seen through other "cold" objects, depending on the obtrusion's size and density. Her vision through solid objects seems to be limited to a thickness of three feet. In addition, Naore has a keen math aptitude and works well with computers.

Weapon:
Trained especially for its use, Naore uses a collapsible naginata. This spear-like weapon can be broken down to a fifteen-inch pole, but fully extended it is over six feet long. Speed and stealth are her strongpoints, but her hand-to-hand combat skills are lacking. She can be easily overpowered by someone with more muscle mass (if they can get past her naginata). As a last resort, she keeps a thin-bladed dagger in a sheath at her hip.
